Nicole is a second-year PhD candidate. Graduated in Genetics and specialized in Plant Breeding. She has developed the website tool of PERSEUS and performed the interactive force-graph network and hierarchical network visualizations. She has taken part in the development of bioinformatic tools, web scrapping, analysis and processing of data, and the collection, merge, and curation of the agronomical and phenotypical data from public fruit crop databases.

Federico Jurado

PhD Candidate

Federico is a third-year PhD candidate. Graduated in Biology and specialized in Bioinformatics. He has taken part in the development of bioinformatic tools, web scrapping, and connection and data storage on Neo4j Software. In addition, he has contributed in the analysis and processing of data for the pedigree visualizations.

Carles Onielfa

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science Support Staff

Carles is an specialist in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Graduated in Mathematics and Computer Science, he is currently working as AI and Data Science support staff for genomics research at the Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA). He has taken part in the development of the webtool visualization, performing the hierarchical network visualizations and connection of the webtool to the Neo4j database. 

Dr Maria José Aranzana

Principal Investigator (PI)

Maria José is the Principal Investigator of the Rosaceae Genetics and Genomics group. She is in charge of the direction, management, and research strategies of PERSEUS.

Dr Pere Arús

Senior Researcher

Pere is a Senior Researcher working at the Rosaceae Genetics and Genomics group. He is responsible for the senior assistance of the genetics, genomics, and breeding concepts for the development of PERSEUS.
